This job is the hands-on end of managed IT. Imaging and setting up computers, swapping out machines on a desk, installing desk phones, moving equipment, and keeping the shop and the trucks in shape. You'd ride along on service calls with a tech until you can handle the simple ones on your own. Pay is up to $20 an hour.
It is part-time, and we can work with a student schedule. Tell us your class hours when you apply and we will build your week around them.
Part of the day is physical, and part of it is sitting with a machine until it is right. What you get back is a shop that will actually teach you, not drop you on a ticket queue and disappear. Small crew. Owner in the office.

You're in the shop learning how we image a machine and what a desk is supposed to look like when we walk away from it.

You're setting up computers and phones and riding on service calls. Write down what you did so the next person isn't guessing.

We can send you out on a simple call by yourself. You'll have a clear picture of what a field tech's day actually is.
The next job here is field technician. That's $20 an hour and up. You'd carry your own tickets, run an onboarding, and have one thing you're known for. That job isn't posted right now. This one is how people get there, and we'll teach toward it.
You need a driver's license. The work has lifting, crawling under desks, and driving around Lubbock. Shop work or a trade counts. So does being the person friends call when their computer quits. A cert is fine if you have one. This job pays up to $20 an hour, so if that number doesn't work, this isn't the one.
Part-time. We build your week around your class schedule. The work happens during business hours, here or at a customer's building.
A little about work you've done with your hands or with computers, a problem you had to figure out, and the hours you can work.
